| Net 105 | Basic creation and manipulation of computer generated images using painting and drawing software. Topics include: bitmapped graphics, vector (object-oriented) graphics, computer painting and drawing techniques, special effects, scanning techniques, resolution and sampling, image editing, file compression and file formats. |

| Net 107 | Introduction to interactive media authoring software. Topics include: interface, animation, interactivity, defining properties, creating and modifying objects, integrating media files, and publishing for a variety of formats. Students will author and publish interactive applications demonstrating basic competency with an interactive media authoring environment (eg, Adobe Flash). |

| Net 115 | The first of a two-term sequence of study involving tools and techniques for developing applications for the World Wide Web. First term includes study of HTML, Dynamic HTML, JavaScript, and web servers as well as effective web site design. |

| Net 116 | The second of a two-term sequence of study involving tools and techniques for developing applications for the World Wide Web. Second term includes study of animated graphics, Extensible Markup Language (XML), Wireless applications, Perl, Common Gateway Interface and PHP. |

| Net 192 | An introduction to Internet Technology as a course of study. Course emphasis is on the importance of a portfolio of projects and the process of compiling and publishing an electronic portfolio. |

| Net 202 | Advanced application of optimizing video, animation, still graphics, and audio for Internet use. Emphasis is placed on choosing the right media and technology for the content and purpose of the site. |

| Net 205 | Introduction to tools and techniques of digital video production for non-broadcast applications. Topics include: video formats, audio and video codecs, linear vs. nonlinear editing, storyboarding, titling and compositing. Basics of camera technique, lighting, audio and set design will be explored. |

| Net 209 | Practical experience producing interactive media. Each student will demonstrate his/her ability to combine all aspects of the interactive media curriculum via creation of an interactive media presentation that integrates all components produced in the prepatory courses. |

| Net 225 | Deconstruction and application of writing techniques specific to electronic media. Topics include: chunking for non-linear applications, internal linking and referencing, interactivity with user input variables, audio applications, video applications, vocabulary, non-verbal cues, cultural contexts, time and timing. Use of computers and digital media tools for exploration and presentation. |

| Net 291 L/R | Provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on, practical knowledge within the career field by applying learned concepts to the working environment. Supervised work experience is augmented by employer evaluation, instructor review, and shared feedback with other interns. Students record work experiences while completing 14 hours of employer service. |

| Net 292 | A review and evaluation of the students' Web projects as captured in an online portfolio. Preparation for transition to further academic study or professional life. A study of ethical issues facing Internet Technology professionals in their daily lives. |
